About Conversation Journey

Buyers don't ask AI one question — they have a conversation. It starts with a broad question, and each answer leads to follow-ups, comparisons, and finally a decision. We don't make those questions up: the journey is built from real Google "People also ask" queries where they exist, modeled against your persona where they don't — so you always know which steps are real and which are inferred.

That grounding matters because AI loves to invent questions nobody asks. By checking every step against Google's People Also Ask data, you keep a pulse on what's real versus what's hallucinated — and you see the follow-up questions where a recommendation is actually won or lost.

At every step, we check how each AI model responds: are you named, recommended, or missing? You can re-map journeys to better fit what your buyers actually ask, and every step where you vanish becomes a task in your Playbook.

!
Real questions — not made up

We don't invent random questions. Each journey is built from Google's real "People also ask" queries, then modeled against a persona — so every step reflects what actual buyers ask, in the order they ask it. The result is a genuine customer journey, not a guess.

The journey we map

1
Discover
The broad opening question — a problem, symptom, or goal. Does AI's answer point toward your category?
2
Validate
The follow-ups buyers actually type — pulled verbatim from Google's "People also ask." Are you named in the answers?
3
Narrow & compare
Criteria and shortlists — "what should I look for," "where's the best." This is where most brands silently drop out.
4
Choose
The decision point. After the whole conversation, the businesses named along the way win the booking. Are you one of them?

Every step shows how each model responded — Named, Recommended, or Not named — plus the "They also ask" follow-ups so you can see exactly where a recommendation is won or lost.

Grounded in real questions

Real vs. modeled — always labeled
Steps marked "Real Google question" are verbatim queries people type. The rest are modeled for your persona and labeled as such — so you always know what's real and what's inferred, not hallucinated.
Journeys you can re-map
Adjust any journey to better fit what your buyers actually ask — swap questions, change the persona, and re-run to see how and when you come up in the conversation.

The goal is to understand how people are really searching and asking — and to be there at every step until the decision.

Inside the report

Conversation Journey overview

The full research arc in one view: every step of the conversation, whether you appear at each one, which models keep you in the answer, and a single journey health score. The step where your name disappears is flagged — that's the leak the Playbook targets first.

What a broken journey means

Where you drop out of the conversation tells you what to fix.

You're missing at discovery
AI doesn't connect you to the category yet. You likely need stronger category content, citations, and associations with the questions that open the journey.
You appear early, then vanish
Buyers lose sight of you as their questions get specific. You likely need content that answers the narrowing questions — specialties, comparisons, and fit.
You're absent at the decision
AI won't commit to you when it matters most. You likely need decision-stage proof — reviews, "worth it" content, and clear reasons to choose you.

The goal is to be present through the whole conversation — from the first question to the moment they book.
